I love ring shots! Sometimes a wedding timeline doesn’t allow for getting very creative with such photographs. I admit, these shots are usually more for myself than they are for the bride and groom. There are some who value the artistic approach, but many are more interested in remembering the people who helped them celebrate this big day with them.
What to do when you don’t have time to change lenses and set up something creative in great light? A little extra processing and turn it to black and white! Since people see in color (color blindness aside), converting an image to black & white removes some distraction and keeps your focus on the subject. I prefer a warmer tone to my B&W photos.
